When I began painting I found that "joie de vie" (Joy of Life) came not in seeking new vistas, but in having new eyes. New dimensions of life infused my world through light and color.
My profession as a psychiatric nurse, working with families experiencing cancer, also inspires the psycho-spiritual nature of my work. My paintings unveil another dimension of the beauty and struggle of being human. I hope that my art will be a portal for the viewer to explore both the human and spiritual dimensions of light, dark, beauty, mystery, and color in their own life.
